These are the 18 units that make up the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice, the qualification you complete to work as an Agent's Representative in Victoria. Fifteen are specified by Consumer Affairs Victoria, with three electives. On completion you receive the nationally recognised Certificate IV, which your employing agency uses to confirm your eligibility.

- Be at least 18 years old
- No fraud, dishonesty, drug or violence offence in the past 10 years
- Not be insolvent under administration
- Pass a police check through Service Victoria
- Your employing agency confirms your eligibility and notifies the Business Licensing Authority

What do I get when I finish?+–
You receive the full, nationally recognised CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice, the qualification you complete to work as an Agent's Representative in Victoria.
Do I apply to Consumer Affairs Victoria myself?+–
No. In Victoria you do not apply directly. Your employing agency checks your eligibility and notifies the Business Licensing Authority when you start.
Can I run my own agency with this?+–
No. An agent's representative works for, and under the written authority of, a licensed estate agent. To run your own agency you upgrade to the full Estate Agent's Licence.
Is this the full Certificate IV?+–
Yes. This qualification is the full CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice. Gaining 12 months of experience as an agent's representative, and completing the CPP51122 Diploma of Property (Agency Management), is the next step towards the Estate Agent's Licence.
