In NSW, auctioneer accreditation is required to conduct auctions for property, land (including rural land), or livestock. If you want toe be an aspiring auctioneer you need to complete the auction training program.
To be eligible, you must hold a Class 1 or Class 2 real estate agent licence or stock and station agent licence and complete the necessary training.
Once obtained, auctioneer accreditation remains attached to your licence, provided it is renewed on time or restored within three months of expiry.
Assistant stock and station agents are permitted to auction livestock if they are employed by and directly supervised by a licensed stock and station agent.
